I was born on a farm in Iowa, but moved to Nebraska when I was five years old. I became fascinated with Spanish in middle school, and was determined to become bilingual. I went on to take lots of Spanish classes in high school, then attended Creighton University, where I had the opportunity to study abroad in the Dominican Republic. It was life-changing! Since then, I have been able to attend intensive Spanish language school in Cuernavaca, Mexico for two 3-week programs. I have worked in OPS for over ten years, with experience as an ESL teacher, as well as a second and third grade Dual Language Spanish teacher. This is my third year as the Dual Language Lead Teacher at Gomez Heritage, and I absolutely love it! I feel blessed to get to come to such a fun and positive place every day! My husband and I have two young children and we love traveling, and going camping and fishing together.
